The place to find this great education is no other than at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology
Dr. Raphael Dingalo ; Acting Vice Chancellor, mentioned that the university contributes in a big way towards a knowledge society. Knowledge society provides a wider space to evoke creativity, innovation, exchanging and disseminating it without limits.
A university that had been operating under a “letter of interim authority” has now been granted full license to operate and it is the first and only Private Tertiary Institution in Botswana as at present, to be awarded full University License.
The graduation that took place at the hall of fame –Limkokwing University was celebrated under the theme “The Future is now in your hands” these words underscore the capabilities and mindset that have been fostered in the graduating class.
Mercy Thebe; Regional Director –Corporate & Media Relations, mentioned at media briefing that the words; “The Future is now in your hands.” Are meant to inspire; as well as define the caliber and mindset of our graduating class which is highly skilled, highly adoptive, highly competitive and highly enterprising tech savvy creative thinkers,
On 4th September 2014, I witnessed the highly skilled students who graduated that day. The graduation at Limkokwing is always lively, there has never been a dull moment. The Guest of Honor was The Vice President of the Republic of Botswana, His Honor, Dr. Ponatshego Kedikilwe. Amongst students who were graduating there were international students from Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, South Africa, Zambia and Mozambique.
945 students graduated that day, and 21 students were presented with Awards of Excellence under the following categories;

- won competitions, or university students ambassadors. The award recognizes their innate ability to lead.

Three from the 945 students who graduated were from the Special Needs Department. A group of students comprising of 1 male and 2 female who persevered through all challenges they faced with their disabilities with the support of the university and the use of specialized equipment to finally get to the finish line and graduate with solid tertiary credentials.
Just as the song says and performed by the Limkokwing choir they are simply the best.
During the ceremony the Guest of Honour The Vice President of the Republic of Botswana had this to say; “We live in an era that grows more and more dramatic with the emergence of new discoveries that are changing everything that is familiar to us. The coming decade may see a world completely transformed. Therefore it is important that we provide the right opportunities for our youths to gain the skills and the ability to move comfortably in this world.
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology has fully grasped the enormous challenge that our children are facing and has designed the pathways for them to gain the confidence to thrive in this new world. The evidence is in successfully alumni of this University who are already out there building their lives in ways we had never envisioned 10 years ago.
Likewise I am looking forward to the accomplishments of this new age group of graduates who will, undoubtedly, chart their own careers with similar panache and excellence.
I would like to congratulate everyone of this class of 2014 who have worked hard to arrive at this moment of time when they receive their credentials that testifies to their commitment.
